1. When did you join Tormead?  2003 as a student teacher in my final placement, then covered some part time hours in the summer term. Returned to Tormead as Head of PE in 2006 and since then had children and became part time teacher of PE and in 2019 became Head of Academic PE. 

2. How has Tormead changed since you joined? So much! The buildings have changed hugely! I also remember getting lots of paper ‘memo’s’ in my pigeon hole and couldn’t understand why people weren’t sending emails. I think it took some staff a little while to get out of the paper memo habit, 

3. Any stand-out memories / lessons / funny incidents / achievements, and when were these?Too many, majority from residentials, especially Rockley. Being capsized by many students. Losing my canoe whilst in the water, then realising the girls had reshuffled their trios and pairs to absorb it. (Took me a while to figure that one out!) A member of the 6th form getting a piggyback from a friend during a fire drill because she didn’t want to get her ‘fine Italian leather shoes’ wet on the grass! Having to explain to a member of staff from another school that my students weren’t undermining her umpiring during a rounders match by calling ‘no ball’ they were cheering on their friend ‘Noble’!
