Music, Drama & Arts Evening 2021
November 4th saw the return of the Music, Drama and Art Evening and it was lovely to see the school filled with an audience again! Year 7 Drama Club has been attended by between 20 and 30 girls each week and their first performance of the year took place at this event where 7 mini plays were performed that each lasted EXACTLY sixty seconds – there was even a countdown timer running through each performance so the audience could check! Year 8/9 joined in the fun too with the creation of a series of Moving Statues and the audience had great fun stepping on the signs to make them move and bring their dramatic stories to life. Themes ranged from ‘Three Blind Mimes’ to ‘The Death of Gerald’ and were wonderfully wacky. Finally, Glee Club is back! Run by the irrepressible Mrs Greville-Collins they also made their public premier with performances from ‘Dear Evan Hansen’, ‘Little Women’ and ‘Hamilton’. There will many more moments of glee throughout the year.
